Position:  Elementary Instructor

Salary Range: $43,000-$45,000

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Englis or related field.

Pre-Requisite: Active Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) issued IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Reports to: Dean of Instruction, Grd K-6

 

Primary Purpose:

The Elementary Instructor focuses on literature and creating an engaging classroom culture aimed at preparing students for real-world experiences. The role involves motivating and inspiring students, emphasizing reading, literature, composition, and critical thinking skills. Teachers employ various instructional strategies to prioritize discussion, promote a passion for literature, and develop strong voice and agency within students. The Jr. High/High School ELA Instructor will integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with English Language Arts (ELA) to create relevant learning experiences for students. This position includes collaboration with colleagues to develop and implement an integrated STEM curriculum which fosters critical thinking about careers in STEM fields.
